Roof over your head... who knows where...

Want to travel and don't have the money?

I am sure that you may have wanted to travel to Germany but you needed to come up with the cash to fly there, stay in a hotel, and sight see. What would you do if you didn't have to save up the other money to stay in a hotel?

To start - if you haven't stayed in a hostel yet they are usually a much cheaper than staying at a hotel... and usually twice the fun!

For a free stay - check out a few of the following options: Couch Surfing, Hospitality Club,
Global Freeloaders

Couch Surfing has even become a way of life for many people - Check out this entire camp of Couch Surfers. http://www.couchsurfingcamp.com/

We used couch surfing in New Zealand and loved staying with Kamera and Harley. They have a great website (or two...) and we hope they are still planning to visit us in the USA when they make it here. They are on a 10YR trip around the world visiting all the indigenous people groups. Check out their travels here: http://kotitihaere.maori.org.nz/

Christian Audio Free Books... (1 every month)

Hello !
With deep appreciation to Thomas NelsonThe Hole in Our Gospel by Richard Stearns is the free audiobook download of the month! Since it's introduction in March of 2009, this book has had a profound impact on thousands of readers and listeners alike.
World Vision CEO Richard Stearns details his own struggle to obey God regardless of the cost. Is there a hole in our gospel? Are we lacking in understanding and obedience to Jesus’ commands? With great care, Stearns uses Biblical instruction to show where the Church is lacking. He does so in such a way as not to be judgmental and critical, but caring and instructive. Stearns offers compelling stories and insights to encourage, motivate, and challenge us to a greater obedience of Christ.
We wish to thank both Thomas Nelson and Richard Stearns at World Vision for making this important book available.
While you're downloading the free audiobook this month, be sure to purchase the paperback version; now available on Amazon andChristian Book Distributors.

Almost Free Cookbook for iphone users

I finally found something cheap enough to post here!  If you have an iphone, check out the "How to Cook Everything" app.   (It may be available for other phones as an app as well, I just haven't checked).   This app is basically the cookbook by the same name but in app form.  The cookbook retails for $35, and at $1.99, this app is a steal!  The app also includes a cool shopping list feature that lets you make a list based on the ingredients in the recipe you are using. Or, you can make your own list of whatever you want. Bon Apetit!
